- Lak ontvetten voor het spuiten of coaten: Bij het voorbereiden van autolak, primer of coating is pluisvrijheid doorslaggevend. Deze doeken laten geen vezels achter op het oppervlak, waardoor siliconen en stofdeeltjes niet in de laklaag terechtkomen. Ze zijn bestand tegen agressieve ontvetters en IPA, zodat de doek niet uit elkaar valt tijdens het werk.
- Olie, vet en koelvloeistof opnemen in de werkplaats: Voor het droog of nat reinigen van metalen onderdelen en gereedschap absorberen deze doeken hardnekkige verontreinigingen zonder direct te scheuren. Stevig genoeg voor zwaar gebruik, maar goedkoop genoeg om na één gebruik weg te gooien.
- Minder geschikt voor snelle reiniging zonder vloeistoffen bij de hand: Omdat de doeken droog zijn, heb je altijd een losse ontvetter of reinigingsmiddel nodig. Wil je snel en zonder extra spullen werken, bijvoorbeeld onderweg of tussendoor, dan zijn voorbevochtigde IPA-doeken een logischer keuze.
