VALVOLINE 20055 Tectyl Glashelder / Klar (clear) is a solvent cutback, resin based, almost colorless, corrosion preventive compound which is supplied in an aerosol spray can. Tectyl Glashelder / Klar-Spray- has good water displacing properties and can be used as a versatile corrosion protective.
Tectyl Glashelder / Klar-Spray- provides a wide variety of applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals: Automotive, Marine, Household and Industrial, like tools, chromium-plated parts (wheels of bicycles), electrical wiring, etc Tectyl Glashelder / Klar-Spray- cures to a hard, transparent, colorless film.

Transparent protective layer
I use this product to protect the back of my rims and also e.g. tow bar and rear bumper from brine and moisture. The advantage is that the layer is transparent, and little sand and junk sticks to it. The product is nice and shiny.
