- Grote gaten in constructiestaal, koper of aluminium: Voor wie een zuivere, braamvrije opening van 92 mm nodig heeft in metaal tot 30 mm diep, levert deze kernboor een schoner resultaat dan een spiraalboor en belast de machine aanzienlijk minder. Gebruik altijd een centreerpen voor de juiste positionering en om de boorkern uit te werpen.
- Gebruik op een magneetboormachine of kolomboormachine: De Weldon-aansluiting sluit direct aan op een stationaire magneetboormachine of kolomboormachine, wat de stabiliteit geeft die bij deze diameter nodig is voor een trillingsvrije doorvoer en een lange standtijd.
- Minder geschikt voor beton, hout of een handboormachine: HSS is niet bestand tegen steen of beton; daarvoor heb je een diamantkernboor nodig.
