- Gaten boren in staalplaat of constructiestaal: Moet je meerdere gaten van exact 18 mm boren in staal, bijvoorbeeld voor doorvoeringen, bevestigingen of staalconstructies? Dan geeft een kernboor een schoner en sneller resultaat dan een spiraalboor, zonder dat je voorboor- of nabewerkingsstappen nodig hebt.
- Herhaald werk op locatie met een magnetische boormachine: Heb je een magnetische kernboormachine tot je beschikking en moet je op locatie in stalen liggers, frames of platen werken? Deze kernboor past op de standaard Weldon-opname en is daarvoor de juiste keuze. Goed te doen als je de machine stabiel opstelt en de juiste snijsnelheid aanhoudt.
- Minder geschikt voor gebruik in een gewone boormachine: Een kernboor vereist het hoge koppel en de stabiele geleiding van een magnetische of kolomboormachine.
